THE ASSOCIATION

INTERBEING

FOUNDED BY
LAY PRACTITIONERS

Mindful living in the tradition of Thich Nhat Hanh has been practiced in Denmark for over 30 years.
There are wonderful sanghas, study and meditation groups around the country who provide solid space and community for this practice.

Recently, however, there has been a growing interest in more Plum Village activities and to expand the mindfulness community.

It is our aspiration and commitment to make that possible. We are a group of lay practitioners who officially

registered an association (forening) together, with the intention to establish a mindfulness community in Denmark, spiritually guided and supported by our local monk, Thay Phap Tru, who is one of the Dharma Teachers from the Plum Village lineage.

WHY A COMMUNITY?

"Alone we are vulnerable, but with brothers and sisters to work with, we can support each other. You need a sangha; you need a brother or sister, or friend to remind you what you already know. The Dharma is in you, but it needs to be watered in order to manifest and become a reality. A Sangha is a community of resistance, resisting the speed, violence, and unwholesome ways of living that are prevalent in our society.

Supported by the Sangha Body My practice flows easier, Allowing me to swiftly realize My great determination to love and understand all beings." –Thich Nhat Hanh
