Community is at the heart of meaningful change. It is where connection becomes lived experience, where shared intention turns into collective action, and where individuals come together to support one another’s growth and wellbeing. In community, we remember that we are not separate — we are part of a larger whole.
At Interbeing Denmark, community offers spaces to explore presence, compassion, and conscious living alongside others. These communities provide opportunities to practice, learn, and grow together, rooted in mutual respect and a shared commitment to inner and outer transformation.
Below you will find an overview of the different Interbeing communities across Denmark.
Each one is unique, yet all are connected by the same intention: to cultivate awareness, belonging, and interbeing in everyday life.
A Sangha is forming in Kalundborg.

Starting A New Sangha
A sangha is the best way to practice meditation, as it offers deep support and wisdom for beginners and seasoned practitioners alike, and can start with a minimum of four practitioners. Not only do they help create a routine and improve individual practice, but the energy of a community of practitioners can create ripples of understanding and compassion that reverberate throughout society and the world.
Thay shares some guideline on how to build a sangha – they relate to monastic sanghas, but can equally be applied to a lay community.
The Six Togetherness’s a real sangha must practice:
Body: being physically present in one place
Mindfulness training
Sharing: dharma discussion; nonverbal action; presence. (View, insight, understanding, wisdom)
Speech: loving; calm and gentle
Material resources: shared equally
Happy and joyful; synthesis of all ideas.
